Dread Waves Installation
First Installation – £100
The first installation of a custom Dread Waves set created by DreadCraft Wales is charged at a reduced fixed rate of £100.
Reinstallations
Any subsequent installation of your custom set is charged at the standard in-salon hourly rate.
External Sets
Installation of Dread Waves sets purchased or created elsewhere is charged at the standard in-salon hourly rate.
Please note that installation fees are separate from the cost of purchasing or creating your Dread Waves set.
Dread Waves Installation & Aftercare — How Are Dread Waves Installed?
Dread Waves are fitted using a protective braid method, allowing the extensions to be securely attached to your natural hair without the use of glue or chemicals. When installed and removed correctly, this method is designed to protect your natural hair.
How Long Do They Last?
Each installation typically lasts around 6–8 weeks before the extensions need to be removed and reinstalled. The exact timeframe may vary depending on your natural hair, hair growth and aftercare.
Reusable & Removable
All Dread Waves sets can be removed and reinstalled multiple times when cared for correctly, making them a reusable alternative to permanent extensions.
For the best results, follow the recommended aftercare advice and have your extensions removed and re-fitted at the appropriate time.

Please arrive with your hair prepared as agreed at booking. If you require detangling or stretching, let us know in advance so we can allow the correct amount of time.
Natural Hair Stitch Braids
Clean, defined stitch braids created using your own hair, without added extensions.
This service is ideal for clients who love precise parting, sleek sections and a neat braided finish. Styles can be tailored to your desired pattern and the amount of coverage you want.
Pricing
- Half head / up to ear level: from £90.
- Full head: from £100 for 8–10 stitch braids with one row of box braids at the back.
Additional braids, designs, hair preparation and styling requirements may affect the final price.
Aftercare: Wear a satin bonnet or use a satin pillowcase while sleeping. Follow your stylist’s guidance on keeping the scalp and braids clean, and avoid excessive tension.
Synthetic Crochet Curls
Create a voluminous curly look using synthetic curls crocheted throughout the hair.
The style is installed onto a cornrow base, allowing curls to be distributed across the head for a full, textured finish. It’s a great option for clients who want a curly transformation without committing to permanent extensions.

All appointments are tailored to the service booked and the work required. Starting prices are provided where applicable; bespoke services may require a consultation and personalised quote.
Appointment rates
- Weekdays: £40 per hour.
- Weekends: £50 per hour.
- Minimum appointment: 2 hours.
- Last-minute bookings: additional £10 per hour.
Booking fee
A £40-£50 booking fee is required to secure your appointment unless otherwise stated. Please refer to the cancellation terms agreed at booking for details of when this fee becomes non-refundable.
Payment
The remaining balance is payable by cash or bank transfer.
Appointments are charged from the scheduled start time. If the stylist is running behind, this will be taken into consideration.

Please provide clear photos of your current hair and inspiration images where requested. This helps us assess suitability, estimate appointment time and confirm pricing before your visit.

I travel to clients to provide specialist dreadlock services, custom extensions and alternative hair transformations in the comfort of your chosen location.
Whether you’re looking for a new installation, maintenance or a bespoke extension service, each mobile appointment is arranged around your requirements, the service needed and your location.
Mobile Appointment Rates
- Call-out rate: £90 per hour.
- Minimum booking: 2 hours.
- Travel expenses: Fuel and any applicable accommodation costs are charged separately.
- Pricing: Your final quote will depend on the service required, appointment duration and travel arrangements.

Cancellation Policy
To ensure Dread Craft Wales can provide the best service for everyone, we require a 14-day notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
Cancellations made within 14 days of the appointment time will lose their booking fee/ deposit paid when your appointment was booked.
If a booking fee/ deposit was not paid when you booked, for any reason, you will be charged the amount necessary for your appointment.
No-shows will also be charged the booking fee/ deposit amount.
